So you’re shopping for a new mattress and you’re not sure where to start? You’ve heard a lot about memory foam & tempurpedic mattress but there’s this new upcoming latex mattress too, which one should you get?  Don’t worry we hear it all the time.  Hopefully in this 6 part series we can help show you some of the differences, pros & cons between latex mattresses and memory foam mattress.

Part 3: Sleeping Hot

This is an area in which latex seems to have a bit of an advantage.  Because memory foam is temperature activated it has been known to sleep hot. However, there are many new mattress out now, like the Simmons Comforpedic memory foam mattresses that sleep cooler and other mattress with added aloe and/or air flow layers for cooling effects.  However since latex is essentially rubber and the cells are so large, it actually pulls the heat out of the body and dissipates it.
